Houseplant, or as it is also known as ornamental plant. One of the most important elements of home decoration. Due to the vitality, beauty, and brightness that it gives to the house, as well as purifying the air in the rooms and replenishing the oxygen in them. many people are very interested in acquiring home plants and taking care of them, whether as a hobby or as a decor.

What is the most commonly plants bought for homes ?

The fact that we have many types and varieties distinguish plants. What makes us, provide many suggestions for decorating our homes; however, the most common ones are :

· plants with colorful leaves such as croton and dieffenbachia.

· the easy one to care such as begonia, bromeliad, etc…

· The flowering houseplants: African violet and Araula.

· The Individual plants: aloe Vera, ferns, and palms.

· Hanging plants: cactus sedum, violets and finally aquatic plants such as bulbs, dracaena, and lotus

How to take care of it and preserve it?

Some houseplants pretty much grow themselves; can grow in the indirect light from a window or In the absence of adequate sunlight, this deficiency must be compensated by a regular neon lighting or other lighting for plants. Also temperature is something important , few of them will require a bit more pampering, but nothing extreme.

As with any houseplant, there is also the threat of insect pests like aphids, spider mites, and whiteflies ,and finaly watering ,therefore, attention must paid during its watering, according to its type.

Tips for buying houseplants:

To buy any plant, we must check if it is free of mold and fungal diseases and insects. introducing a plant infected with fungal diseases into the house will cause the rest of the house plants to be infected with the same type of fungi so be careful . As for transportation, you must cover it with plastic wrap, due to the change in temperature all the way to the home.
